About Tiger 131
Bring one of the most recognisable armoured vehicles of the Second World War to your collection with Tiger 131, a detailed construction-brick model by QuanGuan. With 1,018 pieces, this substantial build offers an engaging project for military-history enthusiasts, brick-model collectors and anyone drawn to the imposing design of the German Tiger I. The model captures the Tiger’s distinctive presence through its broad hull, angular armour profile, large turret and commanding main gun. Its construction provides a rewarding hands-on experience while creating an impressive display piece for a shelf, desk or dedicated collection. The substantial piece count allows the finished model to feel suitably substantial without losing the accessible appeal of brick construction. Designed for builders aged 6 and over, Tiger 131 balances creative play with the satisfaction of completing a historically inspired military vehicle. Whether assembled as a personal project or presented as part of a wider collection, it offers a strong combination of visual character, building enjoyment and historical interest. QuanGuan’s Tiger 131 is an excellent choice for collectors seeking a memorable military-themed model with a strong display identity. It is presented as a construction-brick set rather than a simple ornament, inviting builders to explore its form piece by piece before placing the completed vehicle on display.
Historical Background
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank introduced during the Second World War. Known for its heavy armour and powerful 88 mm gun, it was developed to provide German armoured units with a vehicle capable of engaging heavily protected opponents at long range. Its distinctive design and imposing proportions have made it one of the most recognisable tanks in military history. Tiger 131 is especially notable because the vehicle was captured by British forces in Tunisia in April 1943. After its capture, it was examined and displayed, eventually becoming part of the collection at The Tank Museum in Bovington, England. Today, Tiger 131 is widely recognised as the world’s only operational Tiger I tank. Its survival makes it an important historical artefact and a particularly compelling subject for scale models, museum visitors and military-vehicle collectors.
