Historical Background
The KV-2 was a Soviet heavy tank developed in the late 1930s as part of the KV tank family. Its defining feature was a large, high-mounted turret equipped to support heavy armament, giving the vehicle an unusually tall and imposing appearance compared with many contemporary tanks. Designed with heavily protected construction in mind, the KV-2 reflected the Soviet emphasis on combining battlefield durability with powerful fire support. The weight of its armor and turret influenced its mobility and handling, creating a vehicle whose strengths and limitations were closely tied to its ambitious design. Today, the KV-2 is remembered for its distinctive silhouette and important place in the evolution of early Soviet armored vehicles. This construction-brick model celebrates that recognizable form in a display-friendly scale, offering collectors a hands-on way to appreciate one of the most visually memorable tanks of its era.
