The Tiger II (King Tiger) was the final evolution of German heavy tank design. Introduced in 1944, it featured the powerful 88mm KwK 43 gun and virtually impenetrable frontal armor, but suffered from mechanical reliability issues. Full-scale vehicles were iterated in response to battlefield feedback: thicker plates, revised suspensions, and new guns often arrived faster than official manuals could be reprinted.
